Unlike general English tests, OET is tailored to the healthcare setting, meaning the reading passages, listening dialogues, and writing tasks are all drawn from real clinical scenarios relevant to your profession.

At Revise Education, our experienced OET coaches provide personalised online OET preparation for doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and all other healthcare professionals, giving you the skills and strategies you need to achieve a passing grade and move forward in your career.

Frequently Asked Questions - OET Classes

What score do I need to pass the OET?
Most Australian regulatory bodies require a minimum grade of B in each of the four sub-tests (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking). However, requirements can vary depending on your profession and the specific body you’re registering with. Our coaches will help you understand exactly what you need.
The OET is required for overseas-trained healthcare professionals who need to demonstrate English proficiency for registration or employment in Australia. It is accepted by AHPRA and a range of other regulatory bodies across Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Ireland, and Singapore.

Most students are well-prepared within four to eight weeks of focused study. The timeline depends on your current English level and how familiar you are with the test format. Our coaches will assess where you are and build a preparation plan tailored to your goals and deadline. Contact our team to learn more.

While both tests assess English proficiency, the OET is designed specifically for healthcare professionals. The tasks — including patient letters, consultations, and clinical scenarios — are set in a healthcare context, making it far more relevant for medical and allied health applicants than a general English test like IELTS.
